How much will a new kitchen cost?
Budget, Mid Range to High-End Kitchens
There are a lot of variables when choosing a new kitchen and decisions you make such as brand, style, and quality can impact significantly on the overall cost.
The size of the kitchen is an important factor as well as your choice and material of work surface, the brand and technology of appliances you choose to the finer details such as handles and sinks.
So, with this in mind, we have written a handy guide which explains the difference between budget, mid to high end kitchens.
If we take brand as a starting point, and you were to choose your kitchen based from a budget level brand, you would be able to expect a starting cost of around £8000*.
With a budget end kitchen, you could expect that the longevity and quality of the kitchen may have to be the compromise, as like most things in life, you generally get what you pay for. Also, it is not unusual for a budget kitchen to be flat packed, meaning that the kitchen it requires assembling.
A mid-range kitchen, the cost tends to start at circa £10,000* up to £30,000*, with the higher end of these figures leaning towards luxury kitchens. So, what do you get for the extra money? Choice! There’s more choice within this price bracket; from the variety of colours, styles, and materials to the country of manufacture.
The kitchens we install at Create are generally Nobilia Kitchens and are manufactured in Germany. Unlike budget kitchens, mid range priced kitchens are usually custom-made and rigid built for delivery – this means the installation process is much easier and quicker with less chance for errors.
£20,000* is often the starting price for a high-end kitchen but really there is no ceiling to the price of this calibre of kitchen. A luxury kitchen is made totally bespoke for a client with a custom specification every time. The design opportunities for a high-end kitchen are essentially endless as the customer has a world of possibilities at their feet when it comes to appliances, colours and work surface options.
